Shall We Dance?

With "Shall we dance?", the Ernst Deutsch Theater is continuing its successful collaboration with the Bundesjugendballett - John Neumeier. After "Die Unsichtbaren", this evening is conceived, choreographed and staged by John Neumeier.
A journey of discovery through the vibrant life, the courageous times, the creativity, poetry and music of the twenties.

John Neumeier describes the motivation for his new creation as follows:
"The period between the world wars has always fascinated me. Artists such as Edna St. Vincent Millay, Scott Fitzgerald, Pablo Picasso, Marilyn Miller, Anna Pavlova and the groundbreaking innovation of Diaghilev's company have created a legendary era.
The attitude to life of this time is reflected in the music of George Gershwin and fuels my inspiration."
